Postnatal fitness - my experience part 1

I had gained just over 15kg during my pregnancy and after giving birth, I needed to regain my core strength, re-establish my pelvic floor muscles and repair the rectus distension (separation and weakening of the rectus abdominis muscle as a result of my pregnancy)

I contacted Jenny Burrell, the UK's leading pregnancy and postnatal fitness expert.

During our meeting at her fitness studio, she assessed my weight, Body Mass Index and took down a few measurements, she then examined my abdomen and assessed the rectus distension.

A "work out" prescription was devised and we went through it together there and then in preparation for me to continue at home.
